Danica McKellar is a 43 year old American actress, writer, author of books promoting mathematics, and educational consultant.
Danica gained fame as a teenager through her role as Winnie Cooper on the television show the Wonder Years. Later wrote several bestsellers (according to the new York times): Math Doesn’t Suck and Kiss My Math. The purpose of these books is to help high school girls gain confidence and succeed in learning mathematics. Danica McKellar also appeared in the video Avril Lavigne, filmed for the song Rock’n’roll.
