Anna Prugova is a 24-year-old professional Russian hockey player, Russian national team goalkeeper. In 2014, Anna was called to the national team to participate in the Olympic tournament in Sochi: she played group stage matches against Japan and Sweden, as well as playoff matches against Switzerland, Japan and Finland. The Russian team took the 6th place. In 2016, she won another bronze medal at the world Cup in the canadian Kamloops.

Anna Prugova made her debut in hockey at the age of 11, becoming a goalkeeper. She played a number of games for the men’s team, with none of the team members and arbitrators objected to such a decision.

In 2007 she made her debut in the women’s youth team of Russia in the ice hockey tournament of four teams in Dmitrov. Thanks to Anna’s brilliant game, the team took the third place and could count on a victory, if not for the misses in the shootout series.

In 2010 Anna Prugova went to the Olympics in Vancouver, becoming the youngest hockey player (16 years and 86 days). The team took sixth place there, beating only the teams of China and Slovakia, and in the game for the 5th place in the shootouts lost to Switzerland. In 2011, together with the team, Anna returned to the top division, winning in the first division, and in 2013 became the bronze medalist of the world championship.
