The film “Madres paralelas” was a breakthrough in the career of 25-year-old Spanish actress Milena Smit. In Almodovar’s drama, a native of Elche got an important role hand in hand with Penelope Cruz and, we are sure, we will never see this new muse of Pedro on the screen again.
The film about confused children in the maternity hospital and confused single mothers successfully tours the planet. The first premiere took place within the framework of the Venice Film Festival, the second — at home in Bilbao, the third — at the end of the festival in New York.
For the American tour, Milena Smit’s stylists did their best. The unrecognizable brunette Milena (in the picture, in contrast, she has short white hair) came out on the carpet in a Cong Tri dress with a leather bustier, a mesh corset and a transparent flying skirt.
