Her swimwear brand, ‘Tropic of C’, is celebrating its fourth year, and Swanepoel says that in the process, she discovered voices in herself that she hadn’t suspected before. Swanepoel describes her creativity and business skills as “two very different things”, but admits that she has always liked challenges.

The photo shoot for V Magazine was prepared by a team of professionals, including photographer Greg Swales, stylist Leila Bani, makeup artist Barbara Moura and others. The pictures were taken in an abandoned church in Brooklyn, which added atmosphere and uniqueness to each frame.
